A 40-year-old man named Md. Atikur Rahman was killed and two others were seriously injured when a speeding truck rammed a three-wheeled human hauler (Nashimon) in Ishwardi, Pabna, on Monday morning (October 26).
The collision occurred near the Rooppur Traffic Circle area.
According to police and witnesses, a fast-moving truck hit the passenger-carrying Nashimon from behind around 8:30 AM, causing the driver to lose control and flip the vehicle onto the highway.
Locals rushed the three severely injured occupants to the Upazila Health Complex, where duty doctors pronounced Atikur Rahman dead on arrival. Pakshi Highway Police Sub-Inspector Abul Kalam confirmed that the truck has been impounded, though the driver fled the scene.
The victim's body was handed over to his family without an autopsy as no complaints were filed.
