According to police and family members, Islam had gone to pump water out of the fish enclosure located inside his vegetable field on Sunday evening. During the pumping operation, he accidentally suffered an electric shock and fell into the water. When he failed to return late at night, his family launched a search and spotted the running water motor in the field. Relatives searched the water, felt his body beneath the surface, and immediately alerted the police and Fire Service. Emergency responders retrieved the body from the depths of the enclosure. As the family raised no suspicion of foul play, authorities handed over the body without an autopsy.
