A special Quran Khani and prayer session (doa mahfil) were held in Daganbhuiyan, Feni, seeking the speedy recovery and longevity of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister Abdul Awal Mintoo.
This religious program was organized under the personal initiative of Md. Faizul Azim Noman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Daganbhuiyan Police Station.
The special prayer and supplication took place on Friday (October 23) following the Jummah prayers at the Daganbhuiyan Police Station Jame Mosque.
According to police station mosque sources, the recitation of the Holy Quran (Quran Khani) was completed before the Jummah prayers seeking the minister's recovery. After the prayers, a special supplication was conducted with the attending devotees. During the supplication, prayers were offered to Almighty Allah for the Environment Minister's swift and full recovery from his physical illness and for his longevity. Following the prayer session, tabarruk (blessed food) was distributed among over a hundred devotees present at the mosque on behalf of the OC.
Speaking to the press regarding the event, Daganbhuiyan Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Faizul Azim Noman said, "Our beloved Environment Minister is currently ill. We have organized this prayer session so that, by the infinite mercy of Almighty Allah, he may achieve a quick and complete recovery and re-dedicate himself to the service of the nation and its people. We and the police station family are offering our sincere prayers to the Almighty for his early recovery."
Other police officers from Daganbhuiyan Police Station, the mosque's Imam, Khatib, local dignitaries, and a large number of general devotees participated in the prayer session.
