A human chain and protest rally were held in Chapainawabganj to protest death threats made against journalist S.M. Rubel and to demand justice over attacks, vandalism of homes, and the forcible seizure of ancestral property belonging to the victim's family. The program was held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Chapainawabganj.

Organized jointly by the victimized family, local journalistic society, and conscious citizens, the program demanded the assurance of security for the journalist and justice for the affected family.

According to the organizers, incidents involving the occupation of ancestral property in the Masjidpara area of Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila, misappropriation of assets belonging to orphaned and helpless families, coercion to withdraw lawsuits, house vandalism, and death threats have occurred. Furthermore, it was claimed that journalist S.M. Rubel received death threats because of his investigative reports covering these allegations.

Pointing fingers at Rahul, Asadul Hossain, Abu Bakkar, Nur Mohammad, Johnny Ali, Asmaul Hossain, and several others for involvement in various criminal activities, the protesters demanded their swift bring-to-justice.

The human chain and protest rally concluded with urgent calls to ensure the security of journalist S.M. Rubel, protect the victimized family's property, conduct a neutral investigation into the allegations of assault, vandalism, and death threats, and take lawful action against the culprits upon substantiating the claims.
