The suspect, son of Arifuzzaman Hossain from Bera upazila's Sheikhpara village, had reserved the vehicle from Chatmohar's Zardis Mor heading toward Faridpur's Berhauliya area, where he abruptly stopped, assaulted the driver with kicks and punches, and attempted to stab him with a knife. Alert fellow drivers intercepted the attacker and brought him back to Zardis Mor, where furious locals administered a beating before handing him over to Chatmohar police.

Chatmohar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Oliur Rahman confirmed that although the driver declined to file a formal case to avoid impounding his livelihood vehicle, the detained suspect will be forwarded to the Pabna court under regular legal procedures.
