National Girl Child Day 2026 was celebrated in Dobaura, Mymensingh, with the inspiring theme "Shishubiye ar noy, konya korbe biswojoy" (No more child marriage, daughters will conquer the world). To mark the occasion, a colorful rally and a subsequent discussion meeting were organized jointly by the Upazila Administration and the Department of Women Affairs.

The discussions focused heavily on safeguarding the rights, education, safety, and healthcare of girl children, as well as emphasizing the critical importance of preventing child marriage. The meeting was addressed by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mosharraf Hossain, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Moksudus Salehin, Women Affairs Officer Sajeda Arefin, Academic Supervisor Nurul Amin, and Dobaura Press Club General Secretary Abul Hashem. The event was gracefully conducted by Tahmina Akter Nipa, recitation instructor of the Adolescent Club.
