The JFA Under-14 Women's Youth Development Program 2026 champion Rangpur women's football team has been accorded a grand reception. The event was organized on Friday (September 25) night at the auditorium of Shaheed Abu Sayed Stadium in Rangpur.
Rangpur Development Authority Chairman and Metropolitan BNP Convener Shamsuzzaman Samu attended as the chief guest, while Rangpur District Football Association (DFA) President Manjur Ahmed Azad, Vice-President and Team Manager Shamim Khan Miskin, and DFA Treasurer Mohammad Shamsuzzaman were present as honored guests.
Addressing the event, Shamsuzzaman Samu praised the players for bringing glory to the district and the nation through sports, noting that the government has taken various steps to build grassroots players. DFA President Manjur Ahmed Azad highlighted that the girls successfully achieved their "hexa-mission" dream by winning the championship for the sixth time, following their previous titles in 2014, 2016, 2019, 2021, and 2025. Fulfilling a prior promise, brand new blazers were gifted to each player and coach.
The celebration concluded with a dinner shared by the players, officials, and distinguished guests. Other attendees included DFA member Afzal Hossain Titu, BFF coach Milon Mia, women's team coach Ruma Akhter, and Sadhyapukurani Yuva Sporting Club advisor Farhaduzzaman Faruk.
