raise awareness against child marriage and adolescent pregnancy, an upazila-level school debate competition was held in Taraganj, Rangpur, under the Jononi Project. Organised on Thursday (October 1), four selected schools—Barati High School, Hatibandha High School, Chanderpukur Girls' High School, and Ikorchali High School—participated in the event, with Barati High School emerging as the upazila champion.

Taraganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Monabbar Hossain attended as the chief guest, with Upazila Secondary Education Officer Shahinur Rahman and musical artist Sohag Rahmat present as special guests. Retired Carmichael College Professor Md. Shah Alam moderated the debate, while BRUR Associate Professor Md. Omar Farooq, Bishwo Shahitto Kendro organizer Md. Syed Ariful Islam, and debater Joy Lala served as judges. Funded by KOICA, technically supported by Save the Children, implemented by RDRS Bangladesh, and conducted by Subornorekha Limited under the "Jononi" project, the campaign aims to serve as an advocacy platform to empower students with logic, confidence, and social awareness to combat child marriage and maternal health risks.
