On the occasion of Channel i entering its 28th year, a civic gathering, quiz competition, and cake-cutting ceremony were held at the RCCI Auditorium in Rangpur on Wednesday night (September 30). Presided over by Senior Staff Reporter Marina Lovely under the slogan "28 Years of Channel i in Expressing Truth and Beauty," the event was addressed by prominent figures, including Rangpur-3 Member of Parliament Mahbubur Rahman Belal, former head of the Bengali Department at Carmichael College Professor Mohammad Shah Alam, and Begum Rokeya University teachers Professor Dr. Tuhin Wadud and Umar Farooq.

Speaking at the gathering, guests praised Channel i’s pioneering programming focused on agriculture, nature, culture, youth talent development, national politics, and economic growth. They expressed optimism that the channel will continue to serve the public and national interest in the coming years. Organized and moderated by journalist Forhaduzzaman Faruk, the event concluded with a quiz competition based on Channel i's history and the cutting of twelve cakes totaling 56 pounds.
