On the 6th day of ongoing worker protests demanding a minimum monthly wage of Tk 30,000, the situation remained completely normal at Chondra Tri-Morh, Fire Station, Kharajora, Palli Bidyut, and Safipur areas in Kaliakair, Gazipur. Vehicles were operating smoothly on the highways, stated Gazipur Superintendent of Police Mohammad Jasim Uddin.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday (November 4) at around 9:00 AM after inspecting various points of the Dhaka-Tangail highway in the Palli Bidyut area of Kaliakair upazila, the Superintendent of Police shared this update.
The Superintendent of Police said, "Over the past few days of worker protests, workers are gradually realizing that the government and the state are actively working toward accepting their demands. Recognizing this, they are showing reluctance to join the protests and are staying away. As you can see from the current situation, the roads are entirely normal, vehicles are moving, and everything is functioning smoothly now."
