Three people sustained serious injuries following the sudden attack of a wild tiger that strayed across the border from India into the Amjhol frontier area under Hatibandha upazila, Lalmonirhat. A goat was also killed during the animal's rampage.

The incident took place on Sunday afternoon near the Amjhol border. The injured individuals have been identified as Sharifa Begum (30), wife of Shahidur Rahman; Afsar Hossain (40), son of the late Monir Hossain; and Nazrul Islam, all residents of Amjhol village.

According to local sources, Sharifa Begum went to a vegetable field to search for her goat in the afternoon when she spotted the wild animal. As she approached her goat, the beast lunged and attacked her. Upon hearing her screams, locals rushed to help, during which the animal attacked and injured two other people. Locals subsequently rescued them and rushed them to the Hatibandha Upazila Health Complex.
