Under the slogan "Let's Go to War Against Drugs," a protest rally, demonstration, and torchlight procession were held on Wednesday evening (October 21, 2026) in Shubhakhai village of No. 11 Gohalakada Union in Netrokona's Purbadhala Upazila. Organized by the Shubhakhai Drug Eradication Committee (established in 2026), the program called upon the police administration to swiftly arrest drug users and dealers.

Speakers expressed concern that the alarming spread of drugs in Shubhakhai and surrounding areas is destroying the youth, urging both administrative action and social resistance. The event was attended by committee leaders, including President Taufiq Ahmed Sagar, General Secretary Md. Haque Mia, and adviser Huzifa, alongside Dhaka University student Zakir Hossain Fahim and local residents.
