Acting on a tip-off, a specialized team from CPC-2 of RAB-4 conducted a successful anti-drug raid on Tuesday afternoon (October 6, 2026) in the Bogabari Bazar area of Dhamsona Union, Ashulia, arresting two professional drug traffickers identified as Md. Shahin Alam (23) and Md. Babul (32).

Led by Additional Superintendent of Police and Company Commander S. M. Reza Haque, alongside Assistant Superintendent of Police Fayez Sarzil and Squad Commander Haliuzzaman, the team recovered 137 kg of hemp valued at approximately Tk 34.25 lakh. According to RAB-4, the suspects admitted to procuring narcotics from various border regions to supply wholesale and retail buyers across Ashulia, Savar, and Dhamrai.

A formal case has been filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act at Ashulia Police Station, and they have been handed over to the police as legal proceedings continue.
