A youth named Khalid Hasan (36) was allegedly beaten to death over a theft suspicion in the Madarpur Khiyarchara area of Ranipukur Union under Mithapukur Upazila in Rangpur. The police recovered the body of the youth from the spot on Monday morning (26 October).
The deceased, Khalid Hasan, was the son of Mahabubar Rahman, residing in the Rupsi Gachuapara village of Khoragach Union within Mithapukur Upazila.
According to local sources, the incident stemmed from suspicions of theft in the Madarpur Khiyarchara area. At one point, Khalid Hasan was allegedly beaten to death. Later in the morning, the police recovered his body from the scene.
