Case Filed Against Female Doctor and 2 Others Over Assault on Woman Staff Member in Kalapara
Max Hospital & Diagnostic Center in Kalapara, Patuakhali, where a female staff member was allegedly assaulted by a doctor and hospital authorities.

A case has been filed with Kalapara Police Station against three people—including Dr. Taslima Ferdousi Rima (35), a physician at the private Max Hospital & Diagnostic Center, the hospital's director Nahid Islam (35), and staff member Sabina Akhter (33)—for allegedly physically assaulting a female employee named Lamia (26). The complaint was lodged by the victim's husband, Md. Alauddin.

According to the case statement, the incident occurred on Tuesday evening (October 20) over a delay in serving evening snacks to Dr. Taslima Ferdousi Rima. The victim was allegedly locked inside the doctor's office and severely beaten with a clipboard, paperweight, and shoes. The case statement further mentions that during the assault, the accused forcibly snatched a gold chain weighing eight ana (valued at BDT 1,10,000) from her neck and smashed her Infinix mobile phone (valued at BDT 17,000). Highlighting allegations of molestation and physical assault, the victim's husband has demanded a thorough investigation and strict legal action against the culprits.

Confirming the matter, Kalapara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Nazrul Islam stated, "A case has been registered regarding this incident. Following an investigation, those responsible will be brought under the law."
