Citing the case statement, he informed that in 2020, Imran Haque Swadhin developed a love relationship with an adolescent victim. Afterwards, under the pretext of marriage, Imran established physical relations with the girl and recorded intimate photos and videos. Later, showing those intimate photos and videos and playing a love drama, Imran forced the girl to engage in physical relations with him multiple times over a long period of four years. At one point, threatening to spread the intimate photos and video of the physical relations on social media, Imran extorted a total of two lakh taka from the girl at various times. Later, when the girl pressured him to marry her, Imran stopped all communication. The girl realized Imran's fraudulent nature. Last year, the girl was married to another boy through a family arrangement. Almost a year after the marriage, on September 5, Imran sent the intimate videos of their physical relations to the WhatsApp number of a friend known to the girl. That friend informed the girl and her husband about the incident. Later, the videos were sent to the WhatsApp number of the girl's husband.

Rangpur Metropolitan Haragachh Police Station Inspector (OC) Ashok Chouhan said that in this regard, late Saturday night, the victim woman filed a case as the plaintiff against the accused Imran Haque Swadhin under the Rape and Pornography Act. Later, conducting a drive on Sunday dawn, police arrested the accused Imran Haque Swadhin from his own home. The mobile phone containing the recorded intimate photos and videos of the physical relations was seized.
