The results of the 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations are expected to be published between October 25 and October 29.
Professor Syed Akteruzzaman, Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board and President of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, confirmed the development on Monday (October 12, 2026). A formal proposal outlining the late-October timeframe has been dispatched to the Ministry of Education, and the exact publication date will be finalized immediately upon ministerial approval.
This year's written examinations commenced on July 2 and concluded on August 8. While practical exams were slated to end by August 15, severe weather and natural disasters in the Chattogram division caused localized delays, extending Chattogram Board’s written exams until September 9. A total of 1,270,583 examinees from 9,439 institutions sat for the examinations across 2,697 centers nationwide. Dhaka Board recorded the highest turnout with 300,393 examinees across 310 centers, alongside 92,905 candidates under the Madrasah Education Board and 107,964 under the Technical Education Board.
