Freshers' Reception Held for Class 11 Students at Carmichael College
Freshers and faculty members attend the Class 11 orientation ceremony at Carmichael College in Rangpur on Thursday.

A freshers' reception for students admitted to Class 11 for the 2026–27 academic session was held at the historic Carmichael College in Rangpur.

The event was organized on Thursday (October 8) at the Higher Secondary Building premises of the college.

Carmichael College Principal Professor Dr. Md. Abul Hossain Mondal attended as the chief guest, while Professor Dr. K. M. Jalal Uddin Akbar was present as the guest of honor. Vice Principal Professor Md. Habibur Rahman and Teacher Council Secretary Professor Morshed Ahammad Khan attended as special guests.

In his speech, Chief Guest Professor Dr. Md. Abul Hossain Mondal stated that the new Class 11 students were warmly welcomed, followed by an insightful discussion where students were advised to make the best use of their valuable time. He emphasized that the responsibility of maintaining the long-standing tradition and reputation of Carmichael College now rests on the new generation of students, encouraging them to achieve good academic results while nurturing knowledge, ethics, and human values.

Guest of Honor Professor Dr. K. M. Jalal Uddin Akbar highlighted that student life is the most vital phase for building one's future, urging students to prepare themselves through regular study, discipline, and positive thinking.

Welcoming the newcomers, Vice Principal Professor Md. Habibur Rahman remarked that comprehensive plans are underway for the students' development. He noted that motivational guidance and study direction were provided during the orientation to help students utilize their short higher secondary academic tenure effectively and reach their goals within the college's conducive learning environment.

The ceremony was chaired by Md. Jahangir Alam, President of the Class 11 Admission Committee for the 2026–27 academic session. Teachers, freshers, and other college personnel were present at the function.
