Intense Social Media Debate Erupts Over Dev and Subhashree Ganguly's On-Screen Scene in 'Deshu 7'
Bengali actors Dev and Subhashree Ganguly during promotional campaigns for their upcoming directorial debut project Deshu 7, set for release on October 16.

A romantic scene between Bengali cinema stars Dev and Subhashree Ganguly in their upcoming film Deshu 7 has sparked widespread online discussion following the release of the movie's fourth track, "Amar Shobkichutei."

In the music video, Subhashree appears in a black saree opposite Dev in a matching black shirt and trousers. Social media users highlighted a five-second sequence between 3:14 and 3:19 where Dev kisses Subhashree along her neck as the lyric "Aadorer kichu daag, thaak aaka hoye thaak, mon pahare" plays. Netizens pointed out a visible red mark on Subhashree's neck in the scene, leading to varied reactions, jokes, and criticism across social media platforms. The online reaction follows earlier promotional events for the film where the lead pair made headlines for public gestures, including Dev kneeling to kiss Subhashree's hand on stage during a promotional event. Directed and produced by Dev, the action-romantic film Deshu 7 marks his directorial debut and is scheduled for theatrical release on October 16 ahead of Durga Puja.
