The popular television drama serial ‘Middle Class Family’, which chronicles the realistic joys, struggles, and emotional nuances of an urban middle-class household, has achieved a significant broadcasting landmark by reaching its 150th episode. The milestone episode is scheduled to air on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 8:00 PM on Maasranga Television.
Written by Aurangzeb and directed by Nazrul Islam Raju, the serial revolves around the life of Jamiruddin Sarkar, a retired schoolteacher who successfully concluded his career on moral principles. His household consists of his protective wife, two sons, and two independent daughters. The plot highlights contrasting generational worldviews: elder son Mobin seeks rapid wealth accumulation to break free from middle-class constraints, whereas the younger son aims to emulate his father's integrity. Meanwhile, Jamiruddin’s dream of retiring peacefully in his village faces constant socio-economic hurdles native to urban Dhaka living.
Director Nazrul Islam Raju reflected on the drama's milestone, stating that the narrative resonates widely because it authentically reflects everyday Bangladeshi society, allowing viewers to see their own lives in the characters. The drama airs regularly five days a week from Sunday through Thursday at 8:00 PM, featuring a star-studded cast including Sharaf Ahmed Jibon, Nazia Haq Orsha, Sayed Zaman Shawon, Nabila Islam, Nishat Priyom, Aditi Zaman Sneha, Jannat Akter, Nader Chowdhury, Mili Bashar, Tanjim Hasan Anik, and Saddam Maal.
