Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh Faces Legal Trouble Over Vulgar Remarks at Concert; Seeks Extension After Missing Cyber Cell Summons
Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, who requested additional time through his legal representative after being summoned by Maharashtra Cyber Police over explicit remarks made during a concert.

Indian rapper and music producer Yo Yo Honey Singh has encountered fresh legal trouble after failing to appear before the Maharashtra Cyber Cell for questioning regarding explicit and vulgar remarks made during a concert earlier this year.

The Maharashtra Cyber Department summoned the artist to present himself on October 5, 2026. However, Honey Singh skipped the interrogation, sending a legal representative to request an extension of time. The legal proceedings stem from a concert in Delhi in January, where the rapper made controversial public remarks suggesting sexual activity in cars during cold weather and used explicit language while advising the audience on condom usage. After video clips of the event went viral and triggered widespread public backlash, Honey Singh issued an apology, claiming he used informal language and metaphors to raise awareness about safe sex among Gen-Z youth on medical advice. The justification drew further criticism from public advocacy groups, leading to formal legal complaints against him for disseminating obscene content and violating public decency standards.
