Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are set to share the screen for the first time in 15 years in director Siddharth Anand's highly anticipated action film King.
According to reports published by Pinkvilla citing sources close to the production, Kareena will feature alongside Shah Rukh in a high-octane special sequence titled Daddy Cool. The shoot is scheduled to take place over five days in South Africa later this month. Speculation within the industry suggests that the track features vocals from international pop sensation Ed Sheeran, though official confirmation regarding the recording artist remains under wraps. The on-screen reunion marks their first collaborative performance since the 2011 sci-fi feature Ra.One, following past screen pairings in major blockbusters including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... (2001) and Don (2006). Production insiders indicate that filmmakers are preparing an exclusive promotional asset or teaser for King to be unveiled on November 2, 2026, coinciding with Shah Rukh Khan's 61st birthday. The film boasts an ensemble cast including Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, and Raghav Juyal.
