The event was organised on Wednesday by the Sujanagar Upazila Administration and the Department of Public Health Engineering under the theme, “Be a Handwashing Hero.”

The colourful rally began at 10:00 am and paraded through various streets of Sujanagar municipal town before concluding at the Upazila Parishad premises.

Following the rally, a handwashing awareness campaign and demonstration were held to highlight the importance of proper hand hygiene in preventing diseases.

Sujanagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mir Rasheduzzaman Rashed attended the programme as the chief guest. The event was chaired by Md. Monirul Islam, Sub-Assistant Engineer of the Department of Public Health Engineering in Sujanagar upazila.

Among those present were Upazila Youth Development Officer Lutfor Rahman, Sri Jayanta Kumar Kundu, a teacher at Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) Academy, students from various educational institutions and local representatives from different sectors.
