The Joint List, an alliance representing Israeli-Arab citizens, has officially announced its readiness to extend political support to form an alternative government capable of ousting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and ending his administration.
In an official statement released on Thursday, October 29, 2026, the Joint List declared: "Our people recognized the significance of this moment and turned out to vote in large numbers. The Joint List will work with all its strength to bring an end to Netanyahu’s rule. We are ready to provide political backing to build an alternative government—one that offers a genuine alternative and brings real change to the racist policies of the current administration."
Speaking to Israel's Channel 13, Joint List Chairman Yousef Jabareen emphasized that any Jewish opposition factions seeking a genuine end to Netanyahu's government must open direct dialogue with Arab parties. In the 120-seat Israeli Knesset, the two Arab political blocs—the Joint List and Ra'am—are projected to secure a combined 19 seats. This strategic bloc makes it virtually impossible for anti-Netanyahu opposition parties to form a 61-seat majority government without Arab partnership. Political analysts note that if Jewish opposition factions refuse an alliance with Arab parties, their remaining options are either compromising with Netanyahu or forcing yet another round of snap parliamentary elections.
