A local Executive Magistrate court in Delhi Cantonment granted conditional release to Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Dipke, along with party leaders Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, on Sunday morning (October 11, 2026).
The three CJP leaders were produced before the magistrate following their preventive arrest earlier in the day during the second day of planned protests against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) voter list process. According to court sources, the trio was released after signing a bond undertaking not to perform any act that could disrupt public peace over the next year.
Meanwhile, popular YouTuber and political activist Dhruv Rathee, who was detained by Delhi Police on Saturday prior to the scheduled Jantar Mantar demonstration, was released late Saturday night. In a video posted on X upon returning home, Rathee claimed he was "abducted rather than lawfully arrested or detained," while Delhi Police warned via PTI that further attempts to violate protest restrictions at Jantar Mantar would result in fresh legal action. More than 3,000 demonstrators detained during Saturday's citywide crackdown have since been released.
