The Saudi-led military coalition has vowed a firm and decisive response under international law following a deadly Houthi missile attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Saturday afternoon (October 10, 2026), which left 12 people dead and over 300 injured.
In an official statement reported by Saudi Gazette, coalition spokesman Major General Turki al-Malki condemned the strike directly targeting a busy civilian passenger terminal at approximately 3:00 PM local time. Calling the attack a blatant "terrorist act" and a full-fledged "war crime" violating international humanitarian conventions, Maj. Gen. al-Malki emphasized that the coalition will retaliate firmly against those responsible.
Official fatality reports confirm that among the 12 deceased are two Bangladeshi nationals, five Saudi citizens, and one national each from the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, and Sudan. With several of the 300-plus wounded victims in critical condition, Saudi aviation authorities immediately suspended flight operations at King Khalid International Airport as emergency medical teams and structural assessment units evaluated the site.
