Three members of a family from Kotwali, Sylhet—Kawsar (48), Atisha (10), and Alif (16)—were among the injured undergoing treatment.
Just five minutes later, at 12:20 PM, a second fatal head-on collision occurred between two private cars near the Biraimpur bridge in Jaintiapur Sadar Union. Three-month-old infant Ayat, daughter of Hasanuzzaman from Gowainghat’s Jaflong area, was killed instantly on the spot. Another passenger, Marajana Akter (35), sustained injuries and was admitted to Osmani Medical College Hospital.
