A day-long 'Job Fair' is scheduled to take place at the Birampur Degree College ground in Dinajpur on October 27, aimed at creating employment opportunities for educated unemployed youth. Around 70 companies from across the country will participate in the event.
Birampur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mosammat Tanjina Khatun confirmed the details on Thursday (October 22). She stated that the primary goal of the event is to expand employment opportunities for educated youths in rural areas and connect local talent with national-level corporate institutions. At the fair, job seekers will have the chance to interact directly with company representatives, gather recruitment information, and submit job applications on the spot.
The job fair is being organized under the initiative of the Member of Parliament for Dinajpur-6 and Social Welfare Minister, Professor Dr. A. Z. M. Zaheed Hossain, to enhance employment prospects for rural youth and link them directly with the job market.
Inspecting the event venue at Birampur Degree College ground on Wednesday, the Social Welfare Minister remarked that connecting the talent and qualifications of rural youths with national job platforms is the main objective of this fair. He emphasized the importance of creating employment opportunities at the local level beyond Dhaka-centric markets, allowing young job seekers to establish direct contact with various recruiters.
