The post-mortem examination for former Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Flight Lieutenant KM Tahsif Suri was completed at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue on Thursday afternoon, October 29, 2026.

Following the completion of forensic procedures at around 2:15 PM, hospital authorities officially released the body to his family members, who departed for their residence in Sector 18 of Uttara, Dhaka. Earlier on Thursday morning, Sub-Inspector (SI) Mustafizur Rahman of the Tongi River Police Outpost prepared the official inquest (suruthal) report in the presence of the deceased's cousin, Zahir Hasan, who formally identified the body.

According to the police inquest report, no external marks of physical assault or injury were detected on Tahsif's body. However, the report noted bleeding from the nose and a distended abdomen at the time of examination. The body had been retrieved by Tongi River Police from the Turag River near Rajabari Ghat in Uttarkhan on Wednesday afternoon following a 999 emergency call. Police and medical authorities confirmed that the definitive cause of death will be determined once the final forensic and toxicology reports are compiled.
