The meeting focused on establishing long-term cooperation in semiconductor development, higher education reform, applied research, and technical skill building. The Bangladeshi delegation included State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obayed Islam, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Posts, Telecommunications, ICT, and Science & Technology Rehan Asif Asad, Bangladesh Ambassador to the US Tareq Md Ariful Islam, and Consul General in Los Angeles Kazi Muhammad Javed Iqbal. ASU was represented virtually by Global Development Director Meghan Gibson, University Design Institute (UDI) Vice Chair and Managing Director Dr. Minu Ipe, and Industry Advisory Board Member Dr. Ibrahim Khalil. Discussions highlighted developing a national semiconductor roadmap, faculty training, industry-academia partnerships, and STEM education alignment. Both sides agreed to draft a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a structured framework for semiconductor education, research capacity, and high-tech investment.
