Bijoya Dashami, the concluding day of Sharadiya Durga Puja, is being celebrated across Bangladesh today (October 21, 2026) with religious fervor, traditional rituals, and communal harmony.

The day's highlights include married women participating in the vibrant Sindur Khela ritual—smearing vermilion and exchanging sweets—at major temples like Dhakeshwari National Temple, Ramna Kali Mandir, and Ramakrishna Mission, as well as mandaps nationwide.

Following Dashami puja and Darpan Bisarjan, colorful processions are transporting idols to rivers, ponds, and water bodies for immersion this evening, accompanied by chants of "Aschhe bochhor abar hobe." Families are also exchanging Bijoya greetings, sweets like chomchom and sandesh, and seeking blessings from elders as the festivities draw to a close.
