The Bangladesh Professional Journalists Forum (BPJF) organized a human chain in front of the National Press Club in Dhaka on Sunday morning (October 11) at 11:00 AM, demanding the unconditional release of BPJF Central Committee President and journalist Kazi Shariful Islam Shakil. Presided over by BPJF Dhaka City Chief Coordinator Md. Hafiz Uddin and conducted by Central General Secretary Md. Roman Akand, the program featured former Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) General Secretary Jahangir Alam Prodhan as the chief guest and BPJF Acting President Mahabub Alam Babu as the main speaker.

Special guests included Journalist Torture Prevention Cell Bangladesh Chairman Md. Khairul Alam Rofiq, Dainik Bortoman Din Editor-in-Chief Md. Matiur Rahman, Dainik Somabesh Executive Editor Md. Rafiqul Islam, and Bangladesh Congress Joint Organizing Secretary Selim Reza Bachchu. Speakers strongly emphasized ensuring professional security for journalists, stating that any allegations against media workers should be addressed through fair investigation and legal procedures rather than harassment. They urged the relevant authorities to review Journalist Shakil's case impartially and take necessary steps for his swift release.
