Police have launched an urgent manhunt to identify and arrest two motorcycle-borne assailants who hurled two crude bombs outside the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in Tejgaon, Dhaka late Friday night.

The incident occurred at around 1:15 AM on Saturday (October 10, 2026). According to Tejgaon Division Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Ibne Mizan, two individuals arrived on a motorcycle, monitored the perimeter for several minutes, and threw two crude bombs before fleeing toward Agargaon and Kafrul Road. One device detonated upon impact, while the second unexploded bomb was safely neutralized by the DMP Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Bomb Disposal Unit. Visiting the scene at 2:30 AM, DC Ibne Mizan confirmed that law enforcement agencies have assigned maximum priority to the investigation, collecting CCTV footage across surrounding traffic corridors to trace the perpetrators.
