Deputy Speaker Calls on Opposition to Play Constructive Role in Nation Building
Deputy Speaker Barrister Kaysar Kamal in conversation with Montenegro Parliament Member Gordan Stojović at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Monday.

Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Barrister Kaysar Kamal called on opposition political parties to play a constructive and responsible role rather than engaging in opposition merely for its own sake to build a prosperous and developed nation.

Speaking during a courtesy meeting with Montenegro Parliament Member Gordan Stojović at his office in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Monday (October 5, 2026), the Deputy Speaker highlighted that responsible opposition behavior is essential for maintaining political stability and fostering a strong connection between the government and the public. He noted that a new chapter in parliamentary democracy had begun in Bangladesh following the July mass uprising, which will contribute significantly to economic liberation and socio-economic progress. Montenegro MP Gordan Stojović emphasized exchanging parliamentary best practices and proposed the formation of a Parliamentary Friendship Group to strengthen legislative ties between the two unicameral parliaments. Deputy Speaker Barrister Kaysar Kamal welcomed the proposal, while Stojović also outlined how parliamentary committees in Montenegro closely inspect executive functions to ensure institutional accountability. Senior officials of the Parliament Secretariat were present during the meeting.
