On Sunday afternoon (October 18, 2026), Colonel Md. Faysal Hasan Khan, Acting Region Commander of BGB North-West Region (Rangpur) and Dinajpur Sector Commander, visited the Harijan Sarbojanin Durga Puja Mandap in Hili, operating under the jurisdiction of Joypurhat Battalion (20 BGB). During the inspection, Colonel Faysal evaluated the overall security infrastructure, reviewed patrol readiness, and exchanged warm greetings with local puja committee leaders and devotees.
Addressing attendees, Colonel Faysal urged everyone to exercise heightened awareness and responsible civic duty. "Do not spread rumors. If you notice anything suspicious anywhere, inform BGB immediately," he instructed, highlighting that BGB remains on high alert to guarantee a peaceful, safe, and joyful festival. He emphasized that BGB is working in close coordination with local puja committees and law enforcement agencies to eliminate any risk of communal propaganda or malicious misinformation.
