On the third day of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's state visit to Japan, eminent cardiologist Dr. Zubaida Rahman undertook a comprehensive series of engagements in Tokyo, inspecting advanced healthcare clinics, community nursing facilities, national museums, and holding a courtesy meeting with Princess Takamado of the Japanese Imperial Family.
On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, Dr. Zubaida Rahman commenced her program at the Fujita Health University Haneda Clinic in Haneda Innovation City. Clinic officials briefed her on cutting-edge medical diagnostic capabilities, including ultra-rare CT scanners—of which only five exist globally—as well as advanced PET-CT, MRI technology, and automated robotic specimen collection systems. Following her medical inspection, she visited the Hongo Community-Based Home-Care Nursing Center in Bunkyo-ku, operated by the Sasakawa Health Foundation, where she reviewed specialized rehabilitation models and held discussions with healthcare staff.
In the afternoon, Dr. Zubaida Rahman toured the historic Tokyo National Museum in Ueno Park to observe traditional Japanese cultural heritage artifacts. She subsequently visited the Sasakawa Peace Foundation for bilateral discussions with foundation representatives before concluding her official itinerary with a formal courtesy call on Princess Takamado, exchanging warm greetings and highlighting enduring Bangladesh-Japan ties.
