The fourth session of the 13th National Parliament will officially convene on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 3:30 PM at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir summoned the session on October 14 under Article 72(1) of the Constitution. According to constitutional rules requiring no more than a 60-day gap between two consecutive sessions, this brief session primarily serves to fulfill constitutional compliance before the major annual session in January 2027.

Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni stated that the session is slated to run for approximately 10 working days through November 20, 2026. Around 5 to 6 legislative bills are scheduled for introduction and deliberation. On opening day, the Business Advisory Committee (Karya Upodeshta Committee) will finalize the detailed daily order of business and session duration. While parliamentary questions, urgent notices, and general debates will take place, the highly anticipated Constitution Amendment Bill will not be presented during this session; the Special Drafting Committee is currently finalizing its draft for introduction during the fifth session in mid-January 2027.
