Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Minister Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan stated that the government always welcomes constructive criticism and is committed to taking corrective action if any mistakes are identified in its activities.

He made these remarks while addressing a discussion on various development initiatives of the Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE) at its auditorium in Kakrail, Dhaka.

The minister urged all citizens and stakeholders to refrain from spreading false information or propaganda while calling on everyone to play a responsible role in maintaining a stable and democratic environment.

Speaking as a special guest, State Minister Mir Shahe Alam emphasized the need for dedicated maintenance funds for DPHE at the field level, waste-to-energy initiatives in major cities, low-cost waste management in municipalities, and increased reliance on surface water treatment to preserve groundwater. Local Government Division Secretary Md. Shahidul Hassan and DPHE Chief Engineer Md. Jamanur Rahman were also present at the event.
