The Islamic Foundation coordinates divisional examination venues for the upcoming National Tafsir Competition across Bangladesh.

The Islamic Foundation has announced that 2,580 candidates have officially registered for Bangladesh's first-ever National Tafsir Competition, marking significant public interest in the inaugural religious event.

According to a press release issued by the Islamic Foundation on Thursday (October 1, 2026), the preliminary written examination will take place simultaneously across eight divisional headquarters on October 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM using a standardized question paper. Divisional registration numbers show 910 applicants from Dhaka, 543 from Chattogram, 250 from Sylhet, 196 from Rajshahi, 187 from Mymensingh, 179 from Khulna, 167 from Rangpur, and 148 from Barishal. The 50-mark, one-hour written examination will evaluate short answers and analytical commentary, with results published on the same day via official digital channels. Passing candidates will advance to divisional oral examinations before 48 divisional winners attend a seven-day residential training workshop in Dhaka. The competition features a total prize pool of BDT 16.2 lakh, with national champions receiving BDT 2 lakh each alongside trophies and certificates.
