The influence of the land depression over Bangladesh has begun to gradually subside, leading to a forecasted reduction in rainfall across the country and a slight rise in day and night temperatures over the next three days, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
In a weather bulletin issued on Saturday (September 26, 2026), BMD meteorologist Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik reported that light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty winds are expected in parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Khulna divisions, and isolated areas in Barishal, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions over the next 24 hours. While temperatures are set to rise slightly nationwide through Monday, rainfall activity is anticipated to pick up again towards the end of the month, particularly across coastal and eastern regions including Chattogram, Barishal, and Sylhet.
