
Police have arrested the acting principal and deputy director (administration) of a madrassa in Ashulia, Savar, on charges of forging the president's signature and seal on an application to approve a proposed ad-hoc committee.
The forgery came to light after the fabricated application submitted to the Islamic Arabic University caught the attention of the President, who expressed strong displeasure and directed legal action through the Police Liaison Officer (PLO) of the President's Office. A case has been filed under sections 467, 468, 471, and 34 of the Penal Code at Ashulia Police Station, and operations are ongoing to apprehend other suspects.
