In a sweeping administrative overhaul aimed at optimizing the chain of command, the Law and Justice Division of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has transferred 85 Sub-Registrars across Bangladesh in a single day.
The official notification was issued on Monday (October 26, 2026) by Judicial Branch-6 and signed by Deputy Secretary (Registration) Md. Masud Ali. According to the directive, the mass transfer was executed based on a recommendation memo issued by the Directorate of Registration on October 26 in the interest of public service.
The transferred officers have been instructed to officially hand over their current responsibilities to nominees appointed by the Inspector General of Registration by October 29, 2026, and immediately assume duties at their respective new postings. The Directorate of Registration has also been requested to issue prompt official notifications regarding their new assignments.
