No Anti-State Force Can Induce Instability During Victory Month in December: Home Minister
Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed outlines national security protocols and urban development directives following the inauguration of the new Ansar Headquarters site in Tejgaon, Dhaka.

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has issued a stern warning that no evil force will be permitted to orchestrate instability in December, emphasizing the period's historical significance as Bangladesh’s Month of Victory.

The Home Minister made these remarks while responding to journalists' questions on Thursday morning (October 1, 2026) following the foundation plaque unveiling ceremony for the new Ansar Headquarters in Tejgaon, Dhaka. Addressing concerns regarding potential national unrest and internal sabotage by law enforcement personnel retaining ties to the previous administration, he confirmed that strict disciplinary measures and criminal charges are being actively pursued against officers found guilty of negligence or misconduct. He reiterated that coordinated security drives involving the Police, BGB, SRB, and Ansar battalions will continue as routine operations to eradicate terrorism, extortion, and narcotics. Furthermore, the Minister officially announced the allocation of 3.45 acres (11 bighas) of land in Tejgaon to resolve the chronic space constraints at the current Khilgaon Ansar facility. Touching upon civic issues, he highlighted the ongoing success of AI-driven automated traffic ticketing in Dhaka and directed utility agencies to implement phased, rather than simultaneous, road excavations to mitigate urban gridlock.
