High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India Riaz Hamidullah paid a farewell courtesy call on Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri at the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, marking the conclusion of his diplomatic tenure in India.

According to an official statement shared by the High Commission of Bangladesh in New Delhi on Wednesday (October 7, 2026), both diplomats reviewed multi-faceted aspects of Bangladesh-India bilateral relations during the meeting. Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral engagement and institutional cooperation within established frameworks to address shared interests. High Commissioner Hamidullah and Foreign Secretary Misri emphasized the paramount importance of strengthening people-to-people connections and expressed confidence that joint initiatives will foster more meaningful, structured, and mutually beneficial cooperation moving forward. The farewell audience with Foreign Secretary Misri follows a similar farewell meeting held between High Commissioner Hamidullah and Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Sunday.
