On the eve of Children’s Rights Day and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh Shishu Academy, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman issued a message calling for concerted efforts by families, communities, and the state to guarantee a safe, risk-free childhood, quality scientific education, universal healthcare, nutrition, and cultural opportunities for every child.

Highlighting that Shishu Academy was established in 1976 by Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and acknowledging former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia’s vital role in advancing child rights and joining the ILO’s IPEC initiative in 1994, PM Tarique Rahman urged collective action to overcome persistent challenges such as child labor, social violence, and child marriage while expressing confidence that today's youth will propel Bangladesh to global prominence.
