President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has officially summoned the 4th session of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (National Parliament) to assemble on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM.
According to an official notification issued on Wednesday (October 14, 2026) by Legislation Branch-1 of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat, the President exercised the constitutional powers conferred upon him under Article 72, Clause (1) of the Constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to convene the session.
The upcoming parliamentary session is expected to deliberate on several key legislative bills, policy updates, and pressing national issues. Parliament Speaker and lawmakers across Treasury and Opposition benches are scheduled to attend the opening day sitting at the Parliament Bhaban in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.
