Prime Minister Tariq Rahman, Chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Chief Patron of 'Amra BNP Paribar', has taken full responsibility for the specialized medical treatment of Khan Saiful, former Joint Convener of Khulna City Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD).
The initiative was taken after a recent video statement of Khan Saiful undergoing treatment in Khulna caught the Prime Minister's attention on social media. Prime Minister Tariq Rahman directed his Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon to immediately arrange complete medical care.
Under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Shah Muhammad Aman Ullah, attached to the Prime Minister's Office, Khan Saiful was admitted on Sunday (October 11, 2026) to the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital (NINS) in Agargaon, Dhaka, under Hospital Director Prof. Dr. Md. Nuruzzaman Khan. Dr. Nuruzzaman confirmed that a specialized medical board comprising expert physicians will be constituted within the next two days to guide his treatment regimen. Senior representatives from 'Amra BNP Paribar', Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), and central JCD leadership were present during the hospital admission. Khan Saiful has been suffering from severe chronic medical complications following brutal police violence in 2013.
