Prime Minister Tarique Rahman stopped his motorcade on Tuesday morning (October 20, 2026) in Syedpur, Nilphamari, to interact with students of Syedpur Science College on his way to Rangpur.
Arriving at the Syedpur Airport at 10 AM, he was greeted by thousands of enthusiastic supporters along a 10-kilometer stretch from the airport to Chikli Bazar. Spotting the college students gathered by the gate, the Prime Minister stepped out of his vehicle, spent a joyful moment talking with them, took selfies, and distributed football and cricket sports gear.
During a brief discussion with Principal Abul Kalam Azad, he listened to the institution's infrastructural demands—including boy's and girl's hostels, a multi-story building, and an auditorium—assuring that they would be considered upon receiving a formal written application. Accompanied by prominent ministers and party leaders, the Prime Minister later departed for Rangpur to visit Puja mandaps.
