Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited the Dharmasabha Radha Govinda Temple in Rangpur on Tuesday (October 20, 2026) to inspect the Sharadiya Durgatsav celebrations.
Arriving via the "Sobar Age Bangladesh" bus from the Saidpur Airport, the Prime Minister exchanged greetings with devotees and handed over a check of BDT 1 million (10 lakh) as financial assistance to the temple committee.
This marked his first official visit to Rangpur as Prime Minister following the formation of the government after the 13th parliamentary election. After concluding his visit and exchanging pleasantries with local leaders and the Hindu community, he departed for Saidpur Airport to visit another Puja mandap in Rajshahi.
