Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad Bir Bikram stated during a visit to the Bhola district circuit house that, based on his political experience, there is no possibility of Sheikh Hasina returning to the country within the next 10 years.
He criticized the Awami League's past tenure for creating an environment where honest and neutral individuals could not participate, emphasizing the urgent need for electoral reforms to allow popular, ordinary citizens to contest elections. Furthermore, he assured that upcoming local government elections would be free, fair, and impartial following 17 years of unfair practices.
Highlighting Bhola's natural gas potential, he asserted that the district holds substantial reserves equal to the country's current total, noting that gas is the rightful property of Bhola's people.
